Welcome to OikosTV
OikosTV is a decentralized video distribution platform built on a peer-to-peer network. Unlike traditional platforms, OikosTV leverages the CrewOutpost network to distribute encrypted content chunks directly between users.
The Peer Network
Nodes (peers) store and serve encrypted video data across the network. This architecture provides significant privacy benefits:
- Peers never see the content they host — everything is encrypted with AES-256-GCM
- Content is distributed as small chunks, reducing bandwidth costs for creators
- The more peers participate, the faster and more reliable delivery becomes
