Channel Management
Creating a Channel
Choose a unique handle that will represent you across the OikosTV network. Once created, your channel becomes your home for content and community.
- Go to Settings → Create Channel
- Enter your desired channel handle
- Add a banner image (recommended: 2560×1440px)
- Write a channel description
Channel Settings
Control who can interact with your content, manage moderation tools, and set community guidelines to keep your space safe.
- Community Guidelines: Set rules for comments and interactions
- Moderation Tools: Manage reported content and user strikes
- Privacy Controls: Choose who can subscribe, comment, or message you
Video Uploads & Content
Uploading Your First Video
- Navigate to the
/uploadzone in your Studio dashboard - Drag and drop your video file or select it from your local storage
- Wait for the transcoding process to complete (you'll see a progress bar)
- Add essential metadata: Title, Description, Tags, and Category
- Set your privacy settings: Public, Unlisted, or Private
Playlists & TV Schedules
Organize your content to keep viewers engaged and automate your channel's presence.
- Playlists: Group related videos into collections (e.g., "Best of 2025")
- TV Schedules: Automate your content flow! Set daily, weekday, or weekend rules to schedule when specific playlists appear on your channel's homepage
